Dr. Mylka specializes in the early-stage evaluation and implementation of novel NGS and single-cell omics technologies. After receiving his master's degree in molecular biology at National University of Kyiv (Ukraine) in 2013, he obtained his Ph.D. at Ghent University (Belgium) in 2018, where he worked on nuclear receptors and their role in inflammation, autophagy and circadian rhythm. Dr. Mylka then joined the Tech Watch team at VIB - Flemish Institute for Biotechnology (Belgium). There he works in collaboration with the computational biology groups of Prof. Yvan Saeys and Prof. Stein Aerts on the evaluation and optimization of disruptive single-cell omics technologies to bridge the gap between technology providers and researchers.
